We are thrilled to announce that the Boussinesq Award 2024 has been awarded to Dr. ir. Anne Van Loon. Dr. Van Loon is an Associate Professor in Drought Risk within the Water & Climate Risk group at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. This prestigious award recognizes her excellent contributions to the understanding and description of droughts, their interaction with society, and propagation through terrestrial hydrological systems. It also acknowledges her leadership in various national and international initiatives, projects, and science communication.
